Reeve Tuesti.
Funny cat man. Staunch proponent of improving living standards for people of all backgrounds and economic status. Enthusiast of city planning and publicly funded infrastructure. Expert in robotics, architecture, and civil engineering.
At the end of Final Fantasy VII, he finds himself free of the corrupt warmongering of the Shinra dictatorship, free to follow his heart and conscience, free to enact changes that will help the people of Midgar and restore the injured planet the best ways he knows how.
. . .
Four years later:
(On the Way to a Smile - "Episode: Denzel")
It was Reeve, former Shinra bigwig, now the leader of the WRO . . . folk whispered that the stench of death clung to him. . . . . . . . "You should know first of all that our organization isn't like it used to be. The days of welcoming anyone who was willing to join are long gone. If you want to help in the reconstruction, talk to your local district officer. The WRO is a military institution now."

hi! i'm actually really interested in the "is cait sith reeve" debate and was fascinated by your post since you firmly believe cait sith is his own person.
i'm playing through dirge right now so i can't comment fully on what transpires there, but based on rebirth alone i'm having trouble believing cait sith isn't controlled by him. i know your post said rebirth excluded a scene that made it clear cait sith is his own person, but I'm not sure what you're referring to exactly. The only thing I can think of is the original game, where Cait Sith sacrifices himself and says not to forget him even if another Cait Sith comes along...which is a good point, though one could potentially argue that Reeve is just sentimental.
Anyway, what I want to know is: if Cait Sith has a personality separate from Reeve and can move independently while Reeve is busy, then why does Cait Sith repeatedly go offline in Rebirth while Reeve is busy? This is the main argument I see and one of my favorites, so I think answering that could help your own. The only arguments I can think up are either that the devs wanted to give players clear hints that Reeve controls Cait Sith, or that he wants to make sure he's monitoring Cait Sith when the cat interacts with the party. But besides that, Cait Sith really doesn't act like a different person. Sure, he has an accent and is silly, but he doesn't make any comment whatsoever (as far as I know) that indicates he isn't Reeve himself. In fact, the party treats Cait Sith and the Shinra employee controlling him as the same person, and Cait Sith doesn't attempt to rebuke it. (Outside of maybe lying that he's a mere amusement park attraction?)
i do admit, if dirge seriously contradicts this interpretation, it's weird for the devs to go against it...but as someone who once believed cait sith and reeve were separate and changed their mind after rebirth, I just don't think there's enough evidence based on rebirth alone to claim that cait sith is his own person.
on that note, you mentioned cait sith has his own likes and dislikes separate from reeve and i'm actually really curious about that! do you have an example of that? :D It sounds like fun trivia lol (i really like reeve and cait sith...)
anyway thank you for reading till the end! sorry if this is unwelcome
There's a scene in Dirge where Reeve and Cait walk out of the same room together, reacting to one another independently:
Tumblr media
Further, Cait Sith only goes into stasis twice in the entirety of Rebirth as far as I can recall? Once at the end of a board meeting that Reeve was active in, but seemingly not for the entirety of the board meeting, as Cait Sith appeared to be mid-conversation and trailed off when Reeve got bad news—this makes sense if he's connected to Cait Sith and has the capacity to control him directly as needed, but not if he had to do so actively 100% of the time. The other time is in Cosmo Canyon, because he's clearly not interested in their woo-woo metaphysical nonsense, and he cites it as taking time to recharge his batteries.
Reeve is still working as Director of Urban Planning during all of this, so I find it super hard to believe that he's spending 99.9999% his time at a computer or mentally controlling and speaking through a doll while also running the department that is trying to put Midgar back together after the plate drop—particularly not since we have official meta stating that he's an Inspire, which I cited in a reblog.
Beyond that, there's this bit in the OG, which Cait Sith says to himself, in an empty room:
Tumblr media
There is no explanation for this if Cait Sith is entirely remote controlled. There's no one else here to hear it, no reason for him to express these feelings—or even have feelings in the first place!
In Rebirth it's even more clear, because he expresses physical strain as he's literally holding the Temple up by keeping himself wedged under the platform. He's uncomfortable, he's physically taxed, he's in pain. Again, most of this occurs in an empty room, and would not happen if he was just a toy that Reeve had to control directly like a complex RC car or something.
The concept of likes and dislikes that are independent is less solidly shown in-canon, but they have distinctly different personalities, and Reeve is very clearly not interested in things like prophecies and the Promised Land and all that—he is a scientist at the end of the day, a civil and mechanical engineer—and yet Cait Sith's whole shtick is to tell fortunes! This is also something that he seems to enjoy doing quite a bit, even if he's not very good at it. (He gets better. Kinda.)
Cait Sith is obviously connected to Reeve, but it's equally obvious that he's not analogous. Presumably Cait Sith doesn't care when he's equated to Reeve because he is Reeve's eyes and ears in the field, even when he's not in direct control. The fact that he only really talks about himself as an individual when he's alone kind of implies that he'd rather the others not know, because he doesn't want them to be upset about what's going to happen to him; if he were nothing more than a glorified RC toy, this wouldn't be a concern, because he wouldn't have concerns at all.

For the ask game:
2!!!! 👀👀😅☺️
And 21/22 (so it doesn't look like I'm only interested in THAT 😬😅😂)
Ty! 😊☺️
oh 👀
i see how it is!!
2. a compelling argument for why your fave would never top or bottom
i was gonna be like "but i kinda don't care who's topping or bottoming", but then i remembered that i do, lol, it just depends on the ship/circumstances.
anyway, i don't think sephiroth would bottom to cloud, in particular, because i just can't see cloud as the type of person who would top him in that way.
he could maybe "top from the bottom" aka power bottom, and have control over the situation, but still... given the motorcycle, i keep seeing cloud as someone who would ride things, y'know? 🤭
aaaand i don't think sephiroth would bottom to a gloating genesis; he wouldn't want the memory of an intimate moment to be used like that... but without the gloating...... maybe ;)
21. part of canon you think is overhyped
honestly? og itself.
and... the need for sephiroth to be kept "mysterious" like back then; people diss on remake too much for not doing things 1:1 and don't acknowledge that the og is quite flawed. the whole of the compilation is, tbh, but og often gets treated as if it isn't, compared to the rest.
sephiroth as "mysterious evil" is overhyped as hell and it's sad because by that point, the things that made (human) sephiroth himself are long gone ://
22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores
i have a few!
people are genuinely sleeping on the crumbs of reevince we get and dirge in general. i know that the controls are funky and some story elements may come across as messy (the whole thing with shelke sorta... being impacted by lucrecia's memories is a little... uh...) but when you have one guy telling the other that he was like a stone in the river of time, but could move again thanks to reeve's (and the others', but vincent addresses reeve directly with this) help? the bit in rebirth with cait trying to recruit vincent into the party? peak old man yaoi cinema
also a lot of people completely miss genesis as a person outside of loveless reciting and degradation, i feel, to the point that sometimes it's hard to read fic without finding him being essentially an odd stereotype of his usual crisis core behavior...
LITTLE DUDE INVENTED A PRETTY GOOD JUICE RECIPE AT A YOUNG AGE!!! all he wanted was to serve his hero his family's apples! the devastating "angeal... the dream came true" line after he's healed... the way he wraps loveless at that point with his own headcanon so he can move on from it?
my kingdom for people who explore what little we get of him outside the degradation crisis, as a functional, lovable person worthy going to war for!! my kingdom for people who recognize that clearly sephiroth, angeal and gillian must have seen something in genesis to either befriend him or say he was a good boy
AND, OF COURSE!!! i feel that many people still overlook the amazing character angeal is, even within just the narrative of cc, if only because we aren't show the full tale about him constantly; until fs 2 released, the most we had aside from his screen time were crumbs of who he was beyond just "dreams and honor" (that he's the spiritual leader of soldier, that he was facing mental turmoil already very early in the narrative, that he would abandon his entire career to help someone important to him, etc)
like, dude... i really wish more people would do deep dives into his character, especially now that we have first soldier, because the guy really is like an underrated version of zack, in a way... especially in fs

The vibes on that Kermit/MsPiggy/Gonzo interview are 👌👌👌 everyone is clearly just having the best time.
Okay, I'm going to info dump about some Muppet stuff for a minute, in case other Muppet fans wish to chime in.
In other Muppet productions, Gonzo isn't always necessarily in this kind of relationship with Kermit and Miss Piggy? He's probably the most like genuine of the other Muppets? The most like... Serious in some ways and able to participate in this kind of vibe? Well rounded! He's more well-rounded than some other characters. (And also I love him because he's a Thing, No one knows what species he's "supposed" to be, and they treat that very much in a non-binary fashion and have leaned hard into that interpretation of it over the last few years and I love it so much.)
But Kermit and Miss Piggy always have this kind of a relationship, there's always some third party that one or both of them are low key into and they are navigating around.
I would say that one could make the argument that over the long haul Kermit and Miss Piggy are in a committed but often somewhat open relationship that they are constantly negotiating and reworking and communicating about (often in exasperated and audience amusing ways, usually to do with the just truly impressive number of boyfriends Miss Piggy has had, and her incourrigeable need to flirt with all guest stars etc), And I think that's probably Canon even though it hasn't ever been that I'm aware of discussed in explicit terms like that?
And sometimes the additional partner is Gonzo, As in this clip.
.
Actually in Muppet treasure Island, the movie that this was press for (Which, even people involved in other pirate franchises agree is the best most untouchable interpretation of the treasure Island story), Miss Piggy runs into Several old boyfriends (Which may or may not have overlapped with when she was with Kermit), including Tim Curry playing Long John Silver. And it's completely delightful and one of my favorite movies of all time.
Kermit Piggy vibe is my very favorite thing.
💚💗💙
Not specifically polycule related, but I really love the episode of The Muppet show where Christopher Reeve was the guest? Original film Superman? And Miss Piggy is so very thirsty over him and he's playing himself but in a himbo/Clark Kent kind of way. One of the jokes being that he was cast of Superman because maybe really and truly he was actually Superman.
And Kermit has some dry comments over the course of the episode, but he really and truly mostly just seems to be like... Yep. That's her. And I love her still.
There's a good clip on YouTube "Miss Piggy in Christopher Reeve's dressing room", short and sweet, If anyone would like. XD
Everything i know about the muppets i learned online so i didnt know there was prescedent to miss piggy and kermit being polyam/open to polyam, im just obsessed w that one interview its so funny they shouldve been nominated to the rgb showdown tbh...

What do you think of Snyder's Superman?
I seriously considered skipping over this. I've ranted a lot about this topic elsewhere, and that horse has been beaten to death by everyone, not just me. Can't resist a post for the record so here it is: I consider Snyder to be the worst caretaker of the Superman character ever, and his Superman to be godawful.
youtube
God I will never forget the excitement I felt the first time I watched the third trailer for Man of Steel. "Finally," I foolishly thought to myself. "We are getting a movie that can nail Superman's character AND deliver badass fight scenes." The third trailer used lines from All-Star Superman for God's sake, clearly this was the work of people who knew what they were doing. Can't begin to describe how wild I let my imagination run in the lead up to Man of Steel's release: a whole new era was going to begin. I pictured a Superman video game announcement following shortly after, a new cartoon, spin-off movies for Supergirl and Steel, in short I thought Superman was going to actually be back on equal footing with Batman. Superman fandom's decades long nightmare ushered in by TDKR and Superman III & IV being garbage was at last coming to an end.
Instead what followed was a trainwreck that simply grew more and more corrosive to Superman.
Now to be clear, there are some facets of the DCEU Superman which are worthwhile and interesting. Snyder's depiction of Superman's powers gave us some of the most jaw-dropping scenes to ever hit the big screen, and have been copied by numerous other movies and TV shows including Superman & Lois. Conceptually having Superman struggle to be a hero in a world that doesn't immediately fall over to fawn at his feet isn't a bad idea. Zod in the DCEU was the best incarnation of the character, and I'm glad that writers seem to be drawing more on Shannon's portrayal these days over Stamp's. Hans Zimmer gave us beautiful music that evoked Superman wonderfully, I still listen to that First Flight track to this day. Bits and pieces of Snyder's portrayal of Superman are actually good!
Tumblr media
Except for the actual characterization of Superman himself. Good God he is so boring in these films! He's not charming or funny or even possessing much in the way of a personality at all. That can be blamed on Snyder's choice to not bother to explain why this version of Clark Kent decides to be Superman. What drives this man? What keeps pushing him to help people even though it keeps blowing his cover? Certainly not the Kents as is traditionally the case, Pa and Ma advocate for self-preservation above all else, even if it means other people dying. So then what's the reason? Only real answer is that DCEU Superman helps people because that's what Superman does, hardly the "realistic" justification you would expect from a franchise that takes great pains to establish how hard it is to become Superman, and how much it sucks to be Superman once you actually do don the cape.
Cavill himself is just meh. Yeah he has the physique to sell himself as Superman, I think that's part of why so many have latched on to him as the One True Superman. But he certainly doesn't offer anything performance wise on the level of what Chris Reeve or Tyler Hoechlin show us. There's no effort to differentiate between the two identities on Cavill's part, and his portrayal of both identities is rather stoic, missing an opportunity to let Cavill explore different facets of Superman's psychology or personality. The "romance" between Cavill and Adams is terrible, much like how there isn't any effort to justify why Clark becomes Superman, there's barely any justification for why Clark and Lois hook up other than "well Superman and Lois always get together right?" and then doing that. While it was ruined by the awful CGI (and everything going on behind the scenes), Cavill's best portrayal of Superman is when he interacts with the kids at the start of Whedon's JL. That was the only time Cavill got to play Superman anywhere near to what I would like to see from a film Superman.
People complain that Snyder's Superman isn't "hopeful", that he's not an optimistic character and they are correct. In and of itself that's not a problem, there are many takes on Superman - some not evil - which I wouldn't describe as optimistic or hopeful. Superman is not always sure of himself, of his place in the world. What kills this take is that Snyder wants to have his cake and eat it. He wants to deconstruct the parts he doesn't like or thinks are dumb, like the no kill rule, but he also wants to just lean back on the cultural assumptions and perceptions of Superman to do the emotional heavy lifting for him. Take Ma and Pa Kent for example. We're supposed to view those two as the same saintlike parents they are everywhere else, and we're supposed to like them. But they're both selfish pricks under Snyder and all their advice to Clark just gets in the way of him helping others. Pa teaches Clark that if helping someone else inconveniences or threatens your standing in life in any way, you shouldn't do it. Maybe let those kids die if it means revealing your secret. Definitely let your dad die because otherwise you'll be exposed, even though you can save him. Ma meanwhile tells Clark he doesn't owe anyone else a damn thing, and he's under no obligation to use his powers to help others. Forget what terrible moral advice that would be for a regular person, what kind of advice is that for your invincible man-god son who could easily crush the entire world beneath his heel? You're telling me, in this "realistic" take, that Pa and Ma never considered the damage Clark could wreck to others, and only ever thought about the danger others could pose to him? Sorry I don't buy that one bit, and it just makes the Kents seem stupid in addition to selfish. Yet Snyder can't seem to understand why so many people rejected his take on the Kents or on Superman himself.
Tumblr media
Snyder either doesn't realize, or stubbornly refuses to acknowledge, the way people react to his portrayal of Superman. Sometimes the gap between how Snyder wants us to feel about his Superman, and how the creative choices he makes evoke the exact opposite emotional reaction will give you intense whiplash. We're supposed to feel sad in BvS because Superman died, and we're supposed to understand that everyone else feels sad Superman died too, because Superman is good!.. except Snyder completely undercuts that by teasing evillllll Superman! Why would I feel bad about him dying when you're telling me that Batman was right about him? DCEU Superman is a threat! He's the greatest liability to our planet! He brought Zod to Earth when he activated the Arctic ship! His failure to limit the destruction fighting Zod caused Batman and Lex to go off the deep end, and his failure to properly clean up the damage after the battle left Kryptonian technology where Lex and the military could access them! Of the entire Justice League he is the only one weak-willed enough to succumb to the Anti-Life Equation when his girlfriend dies. All the other Leagues go through hell and lose loved ones in the Knightmare, but they don't succumb, only the so-called "greatest" hero. This ties back into the trend of overdoing "evil Superman" stories: when that is all you can think to do with the character, it really makes it hard to buy that this guy is the paragon who sets the example. He can't be the greatest hero if he's the one who is constantly breaking when shit gets hard, especially when everyone else isn't succumbing. Even more so since we've barely seen him do regular Superman stuff that would make us view him as the leading light!
Furthermore you want to know something truly depressing? Snyderverse Earth is a place where the world would be better off if Superman's pod had just crashed into an asteroid and he had died out in space. Zod would never have come to Earth and killed all those people. Lex and Batman would have never gone insane. The Mother Boxes would never have reactivated - and how shitty is it that the one actual emotion Snyder makes sure to show his Superman evoked was despair so great it caused the Mother Boxes to wake up - and thus Steppenwolf and Darkseid would never have come and destroyed the world. At every turn Superman made life worse, and Batman has to clean up his mess. Even in the end Snyder's plans for Superman have him inspiring jack shit, "Bruce Kent" goes on to be the next Batman, making Batman the one who inspires the next generation and sets the benchmark for everyone else to live up to. All that bullshit about how Superman "made us see the best part of ourselves" is exactly that: bullshit. Snyder's washed out gray wasteland of a world is the same miserable place as when Superman started, he's inspired no real change in the setting whatsoever. The world sucks and he can't make it better besides killing the shit out of a few monsters and rescuing some people.
Finally this supposed "arc" Superman was going through: what was it supposed to be? Learning killing was wrong? He killed Zod twice! He brutally mutilated Steppenwolf and expressed no emotion at Diana cutting his head off! Finding his place in the world? Where the hell does he end up at the end of Snyder's "arc"? The same damn place he started! No friends or loved ones outside his mom and Lois, except for fucking Batman because even when their first major interaction has Batman brutally torture him in the lead up to murdering him, having moms with the same name means they're best friends now. Snyder's "arc" fucking sucks and leaves us with a dogshit character who has to:
Catastrophically fuck up his debut and leave thousands of people dead
Kill off the only surviving members of his race because they're all intrinsically evil
Get his ass whipped by Batman and told how much he sucks, then go kill Zod again
Die
Get brought back and mutilate Steppenwolf
Turn evil after failing to stop Darkseid
Get rebooted by Flash so that he doesn't completely suck and doesn't turn on everyone
Kill Darkseid
Go raise his wife's son with the man who tried to fucking murder him, which she had sex with while his corpse was barely cold, so that his wife's son can one day take up the mantle of the guy who tried to murder him
Fuuuuuuuuck that "arc", if I had to choose between letting Snyder finish his arc and never seeing Superman on the big screen again, I'd kill Superman's film chances permanently in heartbeat. If you thought the DKR damaged Superman, this shit would've been the finishing blow. How the hell do you come back from being turned into a cuckold? Especially when ALL THE OTHER MAJOR SUPERMAN ADAPTIONS OUTSIDE COMICS MAKE HIM LOOK BAD TO SHILL BATMAN?
Tumblr media
This take has been one long nightmare for me that just doesn't seem to end. Hopefully the Snyder Cut was the last of it, Cavill seems to be finished in the role and for that I'm grateful. I'd rather wait as long as I have to in order to get a proper Superman adaption over seeing someone try to build something worthwhile out of the ashes left from Snyder torching the franchise. Goodbye and good riddance to bad rubbish, that's my feelings on DCEU Superman.

hmhmmmm what you said in that reply "i think if reeves did include him and made it poto inspired i would love to see it be in a way that explores his underlying issues and where they come from (fucking. the world showed no compassion to me!!!) instead of just going 'he sucks' as they did in the dark knight" ? god yeah absolutely! Which is part of why I hope that if Harvey shows up in the sequel - or maybe he shows up in the Penguin spin off show first? - that he's just... Harvey for that. Not TwoFace yet, just Harvey. And that they let him and Bruce develop an actual friendship before the whole acid/burns/whatever they're gonna go for this time thing happens (also they should keep up the 'everyone calls Bruce/Batman by pet names' thing they had going in this movie and have Harvey call him stuff like that too) Because that's one of my biggest gripes with Harvey in TDK, that they just rushed through his storyline without building up a proper connection with Bruce/Batman and the audience first - hell him and Bruce didn't even seem to be friends, they were more like...coworkers at most, they didn't even seem to particularly like each other and that takes away so much from the whole tragedy of Harvey being 'Gotham's white knight that fell to darkness' and of Bruce having to fight a man that was his friend once while still seeing that friend in him despite of what he has become, because instead of him being a character that the audience already knows and got endeared to and someone that clearly means a lot to Bruce he was just...a random lawyer that honestly was kind of a prick even before he was a villain (and he only was a villain for like, a day anyways before dying so what was that even for). And then the thing you mentioned about Harvey masking his mental illness since he was a child to seem good enough and present himself as this perfect guy? If the second movie is gonna be about Bruce having to learn how to be 'public figure Bruce Wayne' then hmmmm the parallels that could be made between him and Harvey in that regard? Perfect. Both of them having to hide their true selves (and especially their mental illness and how it affects them) from the world in an attempt to be seen as good and presentable and perfect? Bruce not having figured out how to do that yet while Harvey has been keeping that up since childhood? Maybe even Bruce learning from Harvey's example how damaging forcing yourself to always seem perfect can be so he decides that actually trying to be something he's not (a happy go lucky playboy or a perfect public figure) to please other people isn't actually a good idea and in the end he finds a middle ground between being a public figure and being true to himself? Mirroring how in the first film he realized that Batman has to be hope not vengeance but this time it's the Bruce part that gets a realization like this, with Harvey being Bruce's foil this time? And if him and Harvey get to have a real friendship in this then it even could be the start of Bruce becoming the kind of Batman that has compassion even for his villains and tries to help them instead of just punishing them, because Harvey would be a villain that he knows once was good but spiraled and needs help, rather than some inherently evil monster....Hmmm a lot of thoughts to think.
ANON IM OBSESSED WITH YOU come off anon we can be best friends. you are the smartest person ALIVE
ok ok gonna respond to this in parts as i understood them so number one YEAH ur so right that harvey is unlikeable in tdk i fucking HATED him on my first watch. i think by not letting him and bruce get along, it makes the film a lot funnier if you don't respect it as a film (which i don't), but also loses out on the message it's trying to get across AND misses the opportunity for the tragedy and you know why? because rachel is harvey :-) i'm not kidding here as far as i'm aware they were GOING to have harvey be in the first movie but he was replaced with rachel (childhood friend? belief in the justice system? lawyer? that's fucking harvey idk who rachel dawes is)
"Both of them having to hide their true selves (and especially their mental illness and how it affects them) from the world in an attempt to be seen as good and presentable and perfect? Bruce not having figured out how to do that yet while Harvey has been keeping that up since childhood?" YEAH LEGITIMATELY i think this bruce is the perfect time to explore that aspect of both of their characters bc like literally it should be part of the thesis of writing harvey. i don't care abt the coin or the duality like beyond set dressing bc the underlying issues and the commentary on projecting a persona to the world and then giving up is what makes him a good fucking foil for bruce like. there's a comic where bruce says he can see what he might have been in harvey because the only thing that makes them different is that bruce still has hope!!! he still thinks things can change!!!
AND ALSO like they should absolutely be friends first they can postpone twoface until film 3 i don't care i think that by letting bruce have a close attachment (who stays!!) who has a similar approach to him but also who opposed him on issues of like legality and fixing the system (which would be continuity from the first film) would be SO SO important bc part of harvey as a narrative device is the understanding that the system CAN'T be fixed and that him going through it is proof that it doesn't work and attracts people who want power, even if he has good intentions. and like again i am going to be thinking about the difference in their public personas for DAYS because it would be sooooo fucking tragic if harvey goes down AS brucie is perfected as an image

ok but going about the logic of comics history isn't it brainy and dreamer a thing in the comics too? like i get that some people have different preference for ships and that's ok what i don't get is why you guys are always saying that if brainy and nia get together he is gonna mess up the timeline but dating kara it is okay isn't that double standard? I mean brainy soon or later have to go back home how do you see that play out if he dating anyone?(And sorry if i sound snappy )
It’s okay anon, I don’t think you’re being snappy. And I’m sorry if I sound frustrated at all, I promise I’m not frustrated with you. I’m actually just frustrated with the show’s apparent refusal to make these really important things clear to people who aren’t familiar with the comics.
(Though I have to be honest, I don’t actually read comics myself (yet). I just have a lot of friends who do. Most of the things I know about this stuff comes from @kara-querl, but I’ll do the best I can to explain the basics and hopefully clear up some of the confusing stuff for you. Again, it’s not your fault that you don’t know these things - it’s the show’s fault for not explaining them.)
Now, as for Brainy/“Dreamer” being a thing in the comics… you’re sort of right, but not in the way you’re probably thinking.
There is one version of Brainy (from a comics run called the Threeboot) who ends up with Nura Nal, aka Dream Girl. I’d highly recommend reading this summary of their story on twitter (just prepare yourself, because it’s a looong thread, and also, uh, the story is probably not what you’d expect it to be… especially towards the end).
However, Nura Nal is not Nia Nal. They’re two completely different characters, and both of them very much exist in the CW show’s universe. A lot of people watching SG don’t seem to know about this distinction (because the show has not outright explained it yet), so when they hear that Brainy had a relationship with “Dream Girl” in the comics, they assume (like you did) that Brainy/Nia is a comics canon couple like Kara/Brainy is. But that’s not actually true.
Nura is also the reason why so many people are worried about Brainy/Nia messing up the timeline. But more on that later.
For future reference, this is Nura (with a bonus Brainy in the background):
Tumblr media
She’s not really anything like Nia, in either personality, looks, or her dynamic with Brainy. They have basically the same powers (though Nura could never shoot “dream energy” out of her hands), and the writers seem to have borrowed aspects of Nura’s relationship with her sister Mysa for Nia and Maeve’s storyline, but that’s pretty much where their similarities end.
(The rest of this is gonna go under a cut, because it’s a LOT of information. I know you didn’t ask for a meta, anon, but that’s just kinda what happened, sorry. Hopefully it’s not too overwhelming.)
Nura is a descendant of Nia, the character that we have on the show. She lives in the 31st century and is a member of the Legion of Superheroes, just like Brainy. The fact that Nia is Nura’s great-great-etc-grandmother has been confirmed in multiple interviews. Here’s a quote from Queller (one of the show’s EPs) from SDCC, before the season even started airing:
Tumblr media
Hints about Nura were dropped in the show as early as 4.02 (which was probably close to being filmed around the time of SDCC). In that episode, Brainy asked Nia if he already knew her because she “looked familiar”, and then there was that look of recognition on his face when she told him her name…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then in 4.08, when Alex asked Brainy if he knew about Nia Nal in the 31st century, his only reaction is this:
Tumblr media
Because it’s not Nia that he knows, it’s Nura. But he didn’t want to reveal too much about the future by saying that.
However, Brainy isn’t perfect, and eventually he slipped up. He accidentally called Nia “Nura” later on in the episode, showing how closely he associates them in his mind.

This is the moment in which Nura’s existence was officially made canon on the show.
There’s also the moment towards the end of 4.08 where Brainy told Nia that she “contains greatness,” but he couldn’t tell her how he knew that. This isn’t directly a reference to Nura, but it stands to reason that Nura is the “how” answer to how he knows this about Nia/her family.
Nura is also presumably the person that Nia and Brainy were arguing over in 4.13, whom he refused to talk about. (Tbh, I think the fact that the show apparently skipped over Nia first learning about her descendant is a grave oversight, because for non-comics fans it probably appeared to come out of nowhere.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, just to be completely clear: Nia has never been Brainy’s love interest in the comics (in fact, she doesn’t even exist in the comics at all - she’s an original character created for the show), and Nura, Brainy’s actual love interest (again, specifically only from the Threeboot comics run) definitely 100% exists in the CW show’s universe. We know this because there have been multiple references to her on the show throughout the entire season.
Based on the fact that Brainy is so familiar with how Nia’s powers work and how to train her, it stands to reason that he and Nura are rather… close. We just don’t know how close yet, because Brainy refuses to say anything about her to either Nia or us, the audience. At the very least, they’re teammates and friends. At most… well, they were engaged in the Threeboot, so…
So, to get back to your original question about shipping: From what I’ve seen, the fact that Brainy and Nura had a romance in the comics is actually a big reason why a lot of comics fans don’t ship Brainy/Nia. I can’t speak for everyone obviously, but I know that for quite a few people, the idea of Brainy dating Nia basically feels like him dating his girlfriend’s great-grandma (especially since Brainy’s references to Nura have made people wonder if they might actually have a romantic history on the show, too). It’s not quite on the same level as Marty McFly’s mother trying to kiss her own son in the first Back to the Future movie, but it’s still just… kinda squicky in a smiliar way, you know?
Nura’s existence is also what people are typically referring to when we talk about Brainy/Nia disrupting the timeline. If Brainy were to get with Nia, then that would essentially erase Nura from existence. We know that Nia’s timeline would get seriously messed up if she got together with Brainy, because she has a traceable lineage of descendants going at least 1,000 years into the future. If Brainy got in the middle of that, if he changed Nia’s destiny by allowing her to fall in love with him, then that whole timeline - Nia’s entire legacy, which Brainy is clearly familiar with - would be drastically altered.
What kind of person would Brainy be if he agreed to date Nia, knowing that doing so would erase Nura (and her sister Mysa, and anyone else related to them) in the 31st century? Knowingly and willfully wiping out an entire lineage, including someone that he personally knows and cares about? Does that really sound like something Brainy would do?
This is probably the biggest reason why Brainy/Nia just doesn’t work for a lot of us, particularly comics fans who have caught all the Nura references so far this season. It’s not about personal ship preferences - it’s about character consistency, specifically Brainy’s. We don’t want him to get with Nia because doing so feels wildly selfish and out of character for him.
(In fact, Brainy interacting as much as he already has with Nia personally stresses me out, because by pushing her to be a superhero and training her himself, he’s already altered her timeline in some unknowable way. We just have to hope he knows how far he can push it.)
Tumblr media
We’ve already seen Brainy caution Nia about them potentially creating a paradox, and it seems like they’ve had a similar argument to this one at least once before off-screen. He must know what the dangers of doing something as serious as getting romantically involved with her would be, because he listed them all off to Alex and Kara in 4.08:
Tumblr media
His Keanu Reeves movie quote excuse in the most recent episode (4.15) was flimsy at best, but when he says that he and Nia can never be together, his tone of voice noticeably changes to become more serious, making it obvious that he means it.
Tumblr media
With all of that stuff in mind now… do you see why so many of us are confused and even upset by the promise of more “will they/won’t they” for Brainy/Nia?
Why would the showrunners make Nura’s existence canon if they’re not going to even touch on the issue of how Brainy and Nia getting together would obviously erase her? It’s almost like the Brainy/Nia thing has to conclude with them not ending up together, because otherwise, what does that say about Nura, and the future that Brainy knows? It would change a lot - Nura, who has existed in the comics since 1964, would be GONE - and given how much Brainy has been shown to care about the future and the timeline, I just can’t see him going along with that. I just can’t. (And neither can a lot of other people.)
But of course, this is Supergirl we’re talking about here, so I don’t have a ton of faith in the EPs or writers. They could very well just ignore all that stuff and shove Brainy and Nia together anyway. So, this isn’t me saying that Brainy and Nia will definitely not get together. After all, I don’t write the show.
This is just me explaining why a lot of people don’t think that this Brainy/Nia storyline makes sense, given the show’s own references to Nura, as well as their establishment of Brainy as a character who cares deeply about the timeline. Brainy dating Nia would directly contradict both of those previous writing choices.
And why would the writers do that? Why would they directly contradict their own setup? Fans who are familiar with Nura and have picked up on all these clues are just frustrated because we don’t understand this.
TLDR: Brainy/Nia is not comics canon. Nia Nal is the ancestor of Nura Nal, Brainy’s actual love interest from the comics, who also exists within the show and lives in the 31st century. And Brainy/Nia getting together would erase Nura, and thus mess up the timeline.
Okay, that was a lot. Hopefully that cleared some things up for you about both the comic history, as well as the whole Brainy/Nia timeline issue. I’m gonna address the rest of your questions more briefly bc I’m tired now lol.
Why won’t Brainy getting with Kara mess up the timeline like it would with Nia?
The simplest answer to this one is that we don’t know what the future is supposed to hold for Kara. The Legion made a point of saying last season that their knowledge of the events of Supergirl’s future are vague and largely unknown. We don’t know anything about her having any descendants, or a specific legacy that needs to remain intact like Nia clearly has. (If they didn’t want to create this problem for Nia, then they didn’t have to establish those things for her either… but they did.)
What about Brainy going back to the future eventually?
I kind of already talked about this whole thing here, so you can just read that post to see my take on it. The bottom line is, I don’t think that’s the biggest issue here, largely for BTS/casting reasons. Basically, I think it’s very unlikely that Brainy is going to go back to the future anytime soon. And because of that, I don’t think it’s really necessary to bring it up as an argument against either Brainy/Nia or Brainy/Kara.
And finally, with regards to the whole “why do people keep saying that Kara/Brainy is THE comics canon ship when other ships like Brainy/Dream Girl also exist in the comics?” thing, which is kinda the whole point of your ask from what I can tell, I recommend that you check out this post and these tweets, which (briefly) outline all the different versions of Kara and Brainy that have existed in various media over the past 60 years, and how many of them have ended up with each other. (Spoiler Alert: There’s a very good reason why most comics fans are also Karadox shippers.)
So, in conclusion, can people ship Brainy/Nia if they want to? Of course. People can ship whatever they want. I ship Brainy and Winn after all, even though that’s not ever going to be canon, because I like their dynamic and shipping is supposed to be fun. If people want to create fanart or fics or whatever for Brainy/Nia, then they can totally do that. My issues aren’t with what ships people personally prefer. My issues are with what the actual show is doing in canon, especially within the context of the entire Supergirl mythos.
Look at it this way: If the show doesn’t have Kara eventually fall for Brainy, then CW Kara will be the only version of Kara who had a version of Brainy in her story, and did not fall in love with him.
Like, wow. Talk about going against history.

Your numbers are right, from what I recall.
I wouldn't call the children in FFVII "more mature at a younger age". They're children. But there's definitely some Japanese fictional kids-can-do-anything crap going on.
I do recall Zack having issue with Tifa being their guide because it's too dangerous but the argument was made that there's two whole members of SOLDIER to protect her so she's going. And Tifa's father is like, "Protect my daughter Or Else."
Anyhoo, it isn't until after Advent Children, when Denzel is talking with Reeve about joining the WRO, that Reeve decides he's no longer allowing kids to join what is essentially a military force. And Johnny, who's also listening, objects to the idea of Reeve accepting the offer because he doesn't want his cafe's reputation being ruined when people find out a kid was allowed to join the WRO in it.
Like, they clearly see them as kids. There would be some public backlash if people found out you DID allow a child to join such an organization. ...But not on a big enough scale to matter. On a personal level, people might side-eye you, but they're certainly not gonna bother to try and stop or go get the kid.
But, hey. At least Reeve was finally sat down and confronted with a baby-faced youth, heard his horrible backstory and desires to put himself in further danger to help people, and went, "...This is kinda fucked up, isn't it? I don't think I want to give a child a semi-auto and kick them out into the wild." Good job, Reeve. Gold star.
Like, sometimes I think we forget that Cloud was FOURTEEN when he left Nibelheim to join Shinra. FOURTEEN! He's a sixteen-year-old with a rifle in Crisis Core! He's watching his comrades die left and right because of monsters and terrorists at the ripe ol' age of sixteen. (And probably 14, if they immediately threw him into public safety when he turned up in Midgar all bright-eyed and naïve as fuck.) Zack's not that much older than him but, like, damn. Who looks at a baby-faced teenager, hands them a semi-auto, and kicks them out into the wild?
That's a rhetorical question. I know who. Shinra'd do it time and time again and be comfortably able to live with themselves, but I wouldn't.

Yeahhhh that panel really is so good, because not only does Bruce say he was planning to come out as Batman to Harvey (phrasing is intentional ofc) but iirc he also said that he thinks if he had done it earlier , if he had bared himself and revealed his secrets to Harvey just a bit earlier then maybe Harvey would've felt safe enough to tell him about his own secret and struggles, too, and they could've found help for him together and TwoFace might have never happened, because he would've known that Bruce trusts him and that he can trust Bruce...but even despite never finding out that Bruce was ready to trust him with his deepest secret, and was ready to take off his mask for him - not just the literal one but the metaphorical one that's hiding the deepest parts of his self (I really have to write down that mask meta..) , even despite not entirely knowing that he could've finally been able to take off his own mask, too, and finally show the true man behind the golden boy to someone without the fear of being scrutinized - even though he never found out, and after everything else, Harvey still cares so much about Bruce that he (iirc) says he was the only person that he thinks ever truly did care about him and not just his persona? And that's just so tragic...not only because of what could've been, but because it shows that there clearly still is a good man in him, even after he's become a villain..ough..!
So yeah, agreed, Nolan literally had the perfect material to create a great tragic friendship story and he just...didn't care...and not only that, he just completely changed the character dynamic and took away all the emotional depth and potential just because he wanted there to be a love triangle (and also because he didn't care about the source material and doesn't even really like comic books so. There's that too) . Ugh....I really hope that Reeves actually lets Harvey and Bruce have that tragic friendship in the new movie universe... (or pspspsps maybe even have it be romantic tinged at least on Harvey's part?...which, apparently he wrote riddler in this movie intentionally as having some kind of romantic feelings for Batman (Reeves said from Riddler's perspective it's "almost a love story") so y'know if that guy can have feelings for Batman then why not let Harvey have feelings for Bruce, too? It would fit so well, wouldn't it? With their characters and dynamic? Hm??)
(But yeah! I missed writing to you, too, and honestly maybe if we talk like this a bit more I might actually manage to work up the courage to come off anon, but for now...mystery and intrigue it is, I guess ahhdjdjs... Hope you're doing well!)
PHRASING IS INTENTIONAL OF COURSE!!! like really i do love it when they make bruce feel INTENSELY guilty that he didn't get to harvey in time because. well. he has his own shit going on but he didn't! it's not his like job or whatever but it's really fun for me personally that he literally didn't because they just weren't that close anymore <3 the tragedy is delicious! like. i am not blaming bruce. objectively it isn't his fault. but on a personal level harvey was DROWNING god.... but ur so right like even though they have such a complicated history with things that could have been but never were, it's so interesting and compelling how they still love and care about each other. even though they're basically irreconcilable if things continue as they are, they still care!! they're still important to each other and they don't give up on each other it's truly the dynamic of all time ever. devastating. (i say irreconcilable bc of the shit with robin and also the fact that harvey knowing bruce is batman has to give him SOME mixed feelings. even though he'll be on bruce's side at the end of the day)
mr reeves PLEASE give harvey fans everything they want and make him gay in the film. coded or otherwise PLEASE god i need it after nolan did That
(omg omg omg yesss that's so exciting. take ur time obvs but also that's soooo fun my and my harvey friends are so impressed and fascinated by you)

White Lies (Pt. 07 of 21)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Keanu Reeves X Reader
Word count: 2.4 K
Summary: Keanu found the girl almost dead, in the wrecks of what was once her car. While she was in surgery, stuck in a coma, he gathered the best doctors of New York to attend to her. They told him she is likely to have some kind of brain damage, what may lead to memory loss. And this possibility added up wit the fact that she's pregnant, made the council come up with an odd idea. They asked Keanu to pretend to be her husband, since the stress of finding out everything that happened could put the baby in danger. He reluctantly agreed, but only if she does has some kind of memory loss. He still goes she'll wake up soon, with her memories intact.
But when you finally wake up, there's nothing inside. You're quick to find your head is empty, void, like a blank canvas. The only thing that brings you some relief, that makes you feel less lonely is the mention of a husband. And you can't wait to meet him, because you know you can't deal with this by yourself.

Attraction
“It's so tiny.” You say, looking at the ultrasound picture you just got from your baby. It's week twelve, and the first trimester is almost over. You'll feel less uncomfortable, or so say the doctors, but a lot of different things are going to happen. You're excited about that. “And beautiful.” Walking fast, you let Keanu guide you through the hospital since you're a bit late to meet with Dr. Harris.
“Do you want a boy or a girl?” He asks, looking down at you.
“Boy.” You're quick to answer, smiling at him. “And I know you want a girl.”
“You know me so well.” He mutters when you reach Dr. Harris's office. “I'll leave you to it and go talk with Dr. Wright.”
“Alright.” Tiptoeing, you place a quick kiss on his cheek before heading inside, fast enough so he won't get a look at your blushing cheeks.
Dr. Harris stands up when she sees you, a smile on her lips. “Mrs. Reeves, good morning.” She says, gesturing for you to seat on the divan next to her. “How are you feeling today?”
Dr. Harris is great, but everything she asks is part of the appointment. You don't mind though, she helps a lot to put your thoughts in place. “I'm great. The first trimester is almost over and... Everything is great. Keanu and I are getting along very well.” You decide to bring your husband into the conversation because she'll ask about him anyway.
“That's very good to hear.” You settle down on the divan, pulling your legs up as she takes her place on the armchair. “Have you and Mr. Reeves spoken about the future of your marriage?”
“We'll try.”
“What do you mean by that?”
Elaborate, (Y/N). Dr. Harris never takes the short answer. “We'll try to make it work. I don't want the accident to break apart a good marriage so...” Running a hand through your hair, you sigh. “We had this settled a while ago, and it's been working well so far.”
“Have you and Mr. Reeves ever gotten... Intimate?”
The question makes you move in your seat, sitting up straight. “We hug a lot... And kisses on cheeks are frequent.” You two are growing closer, and you're happy to feel that he's not pushing himself away to make you comfortable. Keanu is letting you set the pace, and it's up to you to chose what step to take next.
“That was not what I meant.” She adds. “I asked if you and your husband have been... Romantically intimate.”
“Oh...” Clearing your throat, you bite your lip. You weren't expecting that, and you don't need this... Image in your head. Not when you've been thinking about kissing him ever since Lucia visited. “No, no. There's the baby so...”
“First of all, this is a common myth about pregnancy.” Resting her notebook on her lap, Dr. Harris looks at you. She's reading you, you know it. “It wouldn't hurt the baby in any way. But this isn't the point. I just need to know if Mr. Reeves tried to approach you that way, and if he did, how you felt about it.”
You're as red as a tomato now, you're sure of it. “Keanu is... Respectful. He doesn't push me into anything. We're... I'm still sleeping in the guest room and he's completely fine with it.” Why does everyone is so worried about Keanu trying to get intimate? He's your husband, it's only natural.
“And won't you sleep on the same bed with your husband?”
“I don't know.” She asks too many questions, and you don't usually have much time from one topic to the other. It makes your head hurt a little, having to deal with so many feelings and situations. “Maybe I should because... Because I really like being around him. I'm just waiting until I'm ready, I think.”
“And when do you think that will be?”
Sighing, you don't know what to answer. And you don't want to. Maybe Dr. Harris doesn't have to know everything. Some things are better if kept in between you and Keanu.
Tumblr media
Dr. Wright's words are in the background as his mind floats away. (Y/N) is everything he can think about. Time and time again he's caught in the lie he built, wanting, wishing it was real. He knows he shouldn't let this happen. He knows he shouldn't let himself have feelings for her, but how could he not?
(Y/N) isn't just beautiful. She's kind, honest, caring. He never thought he would feel this way towards a woman. And it sometimes makes him angry that this didn't happen differently. That he didn't meet her, before she was married of course, maybe in the same way he told her about their fake first meeting. In an airport, where he'd approach her, talk to her, and if he was lucky, get her number. So things would be right.
“Mr. Reeves?”
“Yes.” He clears his throat, moving on his seat. “The headaches are still constant. Almost every day she complains about it, but they're less intense.” He's impressed that he was able to answer the doctor correctly. “But other than that, she's doing well.”
“That's good.” And he goes on again, basically repeating himself, saying things Keanu already knows by heart.
He knows what to do. He knows he has to call emergency if (Y/N) faints. Or if she feels too sleepy. He knows all the little things he has to pay attention to. As if he didn't have his eyes on her all the damn time.
Keanu loves watching her. When she's lying down watching TV, both her legs over his, a hand on her belly. When she cooks, not allowing him to help sometimes, as she moves around the kitchen. And God, her laughter. It lights up his whole world. Keanu thinks he could literally die if he goes too long without a flash of her smile.
“That will be all, I guess.” Dr. Wright says, taking one last look at his papers. “If you need anything, you can always call me.”
“Thank you, Dr. Wright.” He says, standing up to his feet and shaking the man's hand.
Keanu makes his way through the halls, to Dr. Harris' office. Once he's there, he peeks through the rectangular window on the door. She's seated on the divan, facing the doctor, legs crossed, and hands on her lap. He can hear their voices, low, but clear enough since the hall is empty and silent.
He doesn't want to listen. This is between her and her psychologist, and if there's anything she wants him to know, she'll tell him about it. But when he hears his name... His unconsciously listening, it doesn't matter how hard he tries to focus on his phone.
“How would you describe your feelings for Mr. Reeves?” The question has him full alert, holding his breath.
“Well... They're... Growing.” She answers, clearly a little confused. “I know that's not what you're expecting me to say but...”
“It's alright if you don't want to talk about it.”
“It's not that I don't want to talk about it, I just...” Her voice fades, and Keanu rests his back against the wall, trying to listen better. “I want things to fall in place before talking to you. I know I'm supposed to tell you everything and you do help me, but... I don't know. There are a lot of things I just don't know yet.”
“That's completely fine.” The doctor says, and a pause follows. “And what do you think Mr. Reeves feels for you?”
Keanu freezes, holding his breath once again. What will she answer? He feels guilty for listening, but this is something he needs to know. Closing his eyes shut, he tries to hear her voice above the pounding noise of his heart.
“He says he loves me.”
“And do you believe it?”
Silence again. For long seconds, almost a lifetime. “I do, I just... I was hoping he'd be more... Touchy, I think?” She giggles, nervously. “But he already told me that he'll let me set the pace in things, so...”
“Mr. Reeves is quite a gentleman.” Dr. Harris' says, and Keanu chuckles. “He won't push you, and that's good. Not many men would be so patient.”
“I know... Keanu is... Absolutely amazing.” (Y/N) mutters, and Keanu releases his breath, his lungs burning to the sensation.
“Well, this will be it for today.” Dr. Harris says, and he sets in motion, getting up to his feet. Running a hand through his hair, he stares at the door, waiting for her to show up. And when she does, he gets the same feeling he always has when he sees her. Like his world stops, like his heart will jump off his chest. It doesn't matter how much time he spends around her, this sensation never goes away. She's a sight for sore eyes, unbelievably beautiful.
Tumblr media
The drive home is peaceful, and Keanu stops to get you ice cream. Back home, you both make lunch and eat together in the kitchen. Then you go take a nap, only to wake up when the sun is setting.
Making your way through the house, looking for Keanu, you start thinking he's out when you hear something coming from the garage. Bracing yourself from the cold, you go there, smiling to see Keanu in the back. You know he loves motorcycles, and he has three. Well, he has three now, since the new one just got here a week ago. Silently, you walk past the two cars, watching as he rubs a piece of fabric on the bike's seat.
“Hey.” You announce yourself, leaning against the hood of the nearest car.
“Hi, beautiful.” Keanu's eyes lay on you, as he moves to stand up straight.
“When will you take me on a ride?” The idea just came to your head, and you can't help but imagine what it would feel like. Speeding through the streets with the wind on your hair, holding on to Keanu...
“We can go around the neighborhood. But I don't think it's a good idea to good further yet. You're still recovering and there's the baby.” As he speaks, you walk over him, giving the new bike a look. The machine is huge, probably very heavy, and it suits him very well.
“Alright.” You agree, gesturing at the bike. “Can I... Can I ask something?”
“Sure.” Throwing the rag he was using on the wooden table in the corner, he lightly touches your thigh. “What is it?”
Blushing, you look down, touching the leather seat of the bike. “Do you find me attractive?” The words come out so low you wonder if he actually heard you.
“Why are you asking me that?”
“I asked first.” You burst out, putting a strand of hair behind your ear, glancing at him before turning your eyes at the bike.
“Yes.” He simply says in a soft voice. “You're a beautiful woman.” With his index finger under your chin, he makes you look at him again. “Why did you ask me that?”
“I... I really wanted to know.” Almost involuntary, you give a tiny step forward, standing on your toes just a little bit.
“Does it goes both ways?”
His question makes you giggle. “You're really asking if I find you attractive?”
“I really want to know,” Keanu whispers, his hands sliding to caress your cheek.
“Of course I do.” You whisper too, your hands coming to lay on his sides, holding on to his shirt. “Ke... Can I ask for something?”
“Anything, beautiful.” He assures you, and your eyes are locked on his lips. You need to feel them. You can't wait anymore, you're ready for this, right now.
“Kiss me.” You plead, tiptoeing, both hands grabbing a fist full of the fabric of his shirt.
“Are you sure?”
“I am.” You expect him to hesitate, as he usually does, but it's different now.
Keanu bends down, and you close your eyes to feel his lips brushing on yours. It's like sweet torture, the anticipation. At first, he only pecks your lips, quick and soft, but he doesn't pull away after. You're holding your breath, a little numb from the proximity, hands moving from his sides to grab the collar of his shirt, fearful he'll step away. He doesn't. Instead, you feel his lips on yours again, slowly at first, as your mind goes blank for a moment. Everything else fades away, and nothing else matters. His hands come to your waist, holding, grounding you. You're moving closer, wanting to climb on him. You're not thinking straight, but it doesn't matter. Pulling away just to catch your breath, you quickly kiss him again, parting your lips to let him in, deepening the kiss.
There's a burning sensation spreading through your body, but you don't fight it. You let it sink in, take over. But you need to breathe, your lungs screaming for a break, so you pull apart, still holding him close.
“Was this ok?” Keanu asks, his hands moving away from your body.
“Absolutely.” You assure him, nodding, still not ready to let go of him. “It was good... Right?”
“It was amazing.” With a hand on your cheek, Keanu smiles before capturing your lips on another kiss.
